just call me "Jesse Owens"....

i hit the track running!

saturday was my first day at "Merle Stone Chevrolet". its one of the oldest dealerships in tulare county... well, aside from the "Studebaker" dealership but they dont count because they dont exist anymore HAH!

it turns out that selling cars is much like riding a bike.... its been almost a year since i've rolled one off a lot but i still closed the first customer i spoke to on my first day. shit, i wasnt even supposed to talk to anybody! my main duties for the day were setting up my office and getting acquainted with the other salesmen and the inventory. although i must say my manager was quite impressed.

truth be told, i myself am not what you would call a "fan" of GM product. as a matter of fact, i cant stand corvettes. they're pieces of shit as far as i'm concerned! but who am i to tell someone they shouldn't buy one. i'm not going to argue with them.... especially for a 2,000 dollar voucher.

well all i know is all that matters is that im happy. its not just the job either.... it plays a big part, but its more my entire state of being.

i just feel good.

european keys.....

it seems that when i got my back against the wall i come out running with my guns in the air in the middle of the street like blucka... blucka... blucka!!!

im currently in the process of attaining a stable yet substantially lucrative career in the car business. lord willing, i will have the will power and discipline to stick to my goal of becoming financially responsible. for those that know me, know i'm rather finicky when it comes to my taste in automobiles. only the best will suffice!!! upon execution of my aforementioned goal, i will treat myself to another of europe's finest.

with so many to choose from(and only a few actually realistically possible), i have narrowed my choices down to two.... its a fight t the death between a kraut(german) and a crouton(french).

as far as price is concerned, they are both about 60k. what sets them apart is amenities. do i want an all out race car or do i want my own personal g4 leer jet with wheels. truth is, i'll wet myself with joy owning either of the two but i would like some input.

i know neither compare to a dodge neon sxt with masked tail lights and a dual exhaust but give me your opinion anyways, yeah? =]]]

all home run hits, no flys or grounders....

....even if all i need is a R.B.I. to win, i'll be damned if someone else gets the glory from the crack of my bat. and NO! its not selfish.... its REAL! sure i'm just using baseball as a metaphor for life but its true. i mean... you're not gonna feed your family simply by being the sixth man on the winning team. its all about accountability.

let's say for instance, you work for APPLE, arguably one of the leaders in nanotechnology, but you're a janitor. would it make any difference that you are a team player? even if it did, i'm absolutely positive your paycheck would prove otherwise.

"Far better is it to dare mighty things, to win glorious triumphs even though checkered by failure, than to rank with those poor spirits who neither enjoy or suffer much because they live in the gray twilight that knows neither victory or defeat." -Theodore Roosevelt

those words carry significant meaning to me for i currently am in a position of failure. which in my book, "means very little to very little," because i HAVE relished in the glory of success. i know that the only person capable of redeeming me from my own personal recession is me, and because i HAVE...... i know i CAN!

good game..... see you in the locker room =P
